Initial photo of damage to the arm assembly on the ASAP Lock
Petzl has released special inspection requirements for the ASAP lock following the discovery of several devices showing cracks in the rivets on the attachment arm. The issue was discovered on three units in the field, and initial testing by Petzl shows little danger to users should the cracks be present on the device. It is being recommended that users inspect their devices to ensure no cracks are present and continue monitoring condition of the device through regular inspections as per normal operation.
